Meet the educational needs of the local church. Ensuring that Church school, YPD, and Missionaries are supplied with adequate literature and equipment. Administer scholarships and other financial assistance to the church family.

COMFORT MINISTRY
Monthly, the Comfort Ministry meets every 3rd Thursday at 6:00 P.M. The Comfort Ministry supports the Pastor by serving the church family and other communities who are experiencing losses, grief, and emotional distress. The ministry offers prayer, initiates telephone calls, sends cards to the families, provides support during Celebration of Life services, and plans follow-up visits and workshops.

CHURCH COOKOUT
Yearly in August, Traditionally the Saturday before the beginning of our annual summer revival. Open to congregation and family members. Organizations of the church supply their special dishes and enjoy a time of abundant feast and fellowship. We invite you to come and join us for this fun filled occasion.

Monthly| Historical Committee is a group of church members, providing evidence of the history of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Hampton, Virginia. The group collects bulletins of church services, resolutions, programs, pictures, obituaries, histories of each organization and documents provided by fellow church members.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER
Monthly, The intercessory ministry prays for the individual and collective needs of the church. Persons who are not members of Bethel may also submit prayer requests and be assured that someone will pray for their needs. The ministry also provides training and opportunities for practical application of specific aspects

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Yearly June (evenings 6:30PM to 8PM)
Week of study and fellowship (usually the 3rd week in June). Study groups are lead by motivated energetic instructors who make the fun and inspirational. There are special activities for the younger age groups to include crafts, skits and music instruction. Classes available for all age groups, and snacks are provided. Come out and share with the Bethel family and bring your friends.

SONS OF ALLEN
Monthly, 1st Sun, 8:30 am, All male members of our church are Sons of Allen. We provide moral support and keep a watchful eye on the senior men of the church. We provide Christian fellowship to all men and welcome them to attend our breakfast at 8:30am on the first Sunday of each month. We provide an environment where men can come together and openly discuss issues of concern.

TAX ASSISTANCE
Mission: Provide free income tax services for members of Bethel AME Church and for other citizens through-out the community. Tax site normally opens for business the last Saturday in January each year and remains open each Sat. (9am to 2pm) and each Tues. (10am to 1pm) until mid-April. (first-come-first-served) Between the period mid-April to October 15th.
